Portal

Search

Powerful Enterprise Search features to search across a variety of different information sources including unstructured sources (such as web sites and file stores) and structured sources (such as Line of Business/database applications); resulting in a consolidated set of search results ranked by relevance.

Enterprise Content Management

Provides core document management, web content management and records management features including version control, metadata tagging, security, auditing, approval based publishing and support for multilingual sites.

Business Process & Forms

Ability to create electronic forms to submit business data in an open XML format via a web browser. This functionality empowers organisations to achieve efficiencies by automating manual processes using Form Services in conjunction with SharePoint Workflow Services. Digitise paper based form submission and comply with the growing demand for businesses to reduce their impact on the environment.

Business Intelligence (BI)

Enables organisations to expose business critical information to understand how well a business is performing and to make well informed business decisions to improve performance.

MOSS provides core BI delivery components such as web based dashboards, Excel Web Services (that allows organisations to publish Excel data and view the data via a web browser) and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) web components. Additionally, MOSS has integration with the entire suite of Microsoft Business Intelligence tools including SQL Server Reporting Services and Performance Point Server.
