IMGROUP Achieves ISO 9001 Quality Management Certification

Information Management Group Limited (IMGROUP) had achieved the internationally recognised ISO9001:2008 certification for its Quality Management Systems.

This independent assessment was conducted by the British Accreditation Bureau, a leading Certification Body, and demonstrates IMGROUP's commitment to best practices for customer service and quality of service delivery.

IMGROUP has now earned the right to display the coveted British Accreditation Bureau Quality Shield ISO 9001 logo to demonstrate its conformance to the latest standards.

ISO 9001 was first introduced in 1987 and was most recently updated in 2008 (ISO 9001:2008). It requires organisations to demonstrate that they do what they say they do and that they have a quality management system in place to ensure consistency and continual improvement; leading to high levels of performance and customer satisfaction. Accredited organisations are committed to continuous improvement and are assessed annually to ensure progress is being maintained.

IMGROUP's Service Practice Group Director, Vaughan Powell, said:

"We are particularly pleased to have achieved this important certification at our first attempt as it underlines our very strong commitment to our customers and our focus on quality of delivery. This recognition demonstrates that IMGROUP provides the highest standard of quality compliant service delivery for our customers."

For IMGROUP's clients, the key benefits of working with an ISO9001 accredited supplier include:

  • Reduced risks through working with an organisation whose delivery processes have been independently audited.
  • Improved quality in the deliverables through having consistent processes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Greater customer satisfaction providing the basis for a long term supplier relationship.

Major shakeup of Microsoft Corporate Performance Management Strategy

Last month Microsoft announced major changes to their CPM strategy involving the PerformancePoint Server product (PPS) , the application designed to help customers monitor, analyse and plan their business.

The Monitoring & Analytics functionality of PPS will now be available through Microsoft Office SharePoint Server, branded as ‘PerformancePoint Services’. This will be available for purchase as a SharePoint Enterprise CAL with Software Assurance.

This move is designed to help organisations deploy Microsoft Business Intelligence more widely and cost effectively and will leverage the collaborative decision making capabilities of SharePoint.

As of April 1st 2009, customers will no longer be able to purchase standalone PerformancePoint Server licenses. After the release of Service Pack 3 scheduled for later this year, there will be no further development of the planning and budgeting component.  Existing PerformancePoint customers will however be supported for an envisaged ten year period.

If you would like to find out more about the integration of monitoring and analytics within SharePoint and what this could mean for you, please contact our team.

If you have implemented Planning or are evaluating this component, please contact us if you require any further information or guidance.
